Trauma-aware by design

Clarespath is built for people in difficult situations. Every screen has been designed with that in mind:

• No graphic content. We do not show or describe violence, weapons, or distressing imagery.
• Calm visual language. Soft colours, plenty of whitespace, slow animations.
• Plain words. No jargon, no legal-ese, no patronising tone.
• Safe Exit on every page. One click or the Esc key leaves the site immediately.

What we will not do

• We will not ask for your name, address, immigration documents, or any identifying detail.
• We will not share or sell any data — because we have none to sell.
• We will not take referral fees from solicitors. We are not a lead-generation tool.
• We will not give you legal advice. We are a preparation tool, not a substitute for a qualified adviser.
• We will not pressure you to take any particular action.

For professionals working with survivors

If you are an IDVA, support worker, solicitor, legal aid adviser, NHS safeguarding lead, refuge staff member or local council officer, Clarespath can help your clients prepare for an appointment with you so they don't have to start from scratch.

The tool is free to use and free to share. There is no professional sign-up. You are welcome to send the link to clients, or sit alongside them while they use it.

Independence

Clarespath is named in the spirit of Clare's Law. It is not part of Clare's Law, the police, the Home Office or any government service. Clare Wood's family has not endorsed this project. Clarespath is an independent access-to-justice project.

Limits

Clarespath cannot:

• Confirm whether you qualify for any specific UK visa route.
• Make a legal application on your behalf.
• Provide emergency intervention. If you are in immediate danger, call 999.
• Replace a qualified immigration solicitor or accredited adviser.
